Information shared with LinkedIn

The LinkedIn Insight Tag on eligible public marketing pages can collect the page URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser information, and time of a visit. LinkedIn may use identifiers to measure advertisements, provide advertising analytics and support retargeting. We do not place this Insight Tag on private portal, staff, checkout or booking confirmation pages.

Separately, our server sends an advertising click identifier, event type, event time and a stable event reference when an eligible genuine enquiry is submitted, a booking is confirmed, or an instant quotation email is accepted by our email provider. Completed bookings include their value excluding VAT and the currency, GBP. We do not send your name, email address, telephone number, collection or delivery address, shipment details, documents, card details or customer account identifier in these server-side events.

Emailed instant quotations are measured as a separate secondary outcome, with no revenue value. Email-provider acceptance does not prove inbox delivery. A minimal opaque quotation reference prevents repeat email sends counting again. Card-paid and approved account bookings are measured separately. A later card settlement does not count the same account booking again. A separate repeat booking can count as a new booking. Page visits, calculator interactions and unconfirmed booking requests are not completed bookings or genuine enquiries. Zoho forms are outside this integration.

LinkedIn explains its processing, international transfers and retention in its Privacy Policy and its cookie purposes in its Cookie Table. LinkedIn's receipt of an event does not guarantee that it will match or attribute it to an advertisement.

Cookies and retention

ACS removes server-side matching identifiers and conversion payloads after 30 days from capture. Minimal event references and delivery statuses are kept for up to 90 days from the event to prevent duplicates and diagnose delivery, then removed. Aggregate health timestamps contain no click identifiers. This does not change retention of operational booking, enquiry, payment or accounting records described in the main Privacy Policy.

Withdraw consent or ask a question

Switch Advertisement cookies off in the cookie preferences. Our integrated pages remove the ACS advertising cookie and notify the reporting service to stop unsent events when they run. If you change your choice elsewhere, reopen an integrated quote page so it can receive that change. Withdrawal stops future consent-based processing; it cannot undo information already sent to LinkedIn. You can also clear cookies using your browser controls.
